I broke out the paint a couple weeks ago and let Bubba go to town. It was the best afternoon we've had in awhile, full of laughter and lots of bright colors. I have a bunch of Ed Emberly books in my school library that are tattered and have been there for decades, but they still circulate often. I ran into a 19 or 20 year old boy on Sunday who had gone to my school as a boy.
